I love photographing Jenn and Kevin! They are natural, fun, and really really good looking ;)   Here are a few from a shoot I did in the fall – I love that Jennifer likes to document their marriage each year and hopefully she keeps doing that!

Kevin’s favorite thing in the world, well lets just say it isn’t picture taking … but he looks so handsome doing it!

It seems to come easily for Jenn – So beautiful with those piercing blue eyes.

beautiful evening sun.

Jennifer is also a photographer  so we had to get a few with her vintage camera.

OH I just love those two!

Julia and Lyle’s December wedding was a beautiful one.  Along with the bride and groom,  their family and friends were such a joy to be around. You could see the love spilling from all sides so happy to have Julia and Lyle become man and wife. It was a cold day but the warmth that Lyle showed Julia was touching and it makes me so happy to know an old friend has found her love. forever.

Julia, such a stunning bride.

Her beautiful vintage ring once belonged to her great-great-aunt Mayme.

There were cute details all around. Here an adorable etsy ring box and of course blue shoes.

Lyle is calm and confident but he was so happy to see his bride walking towards him.

sneeking in an early kiss…

The sky being completely overcast and cold only contributed in Julia’s “snow white” look…. Her features stood out so beautifully with her white skin, dress and overcast sky.

I love the clean palate of the bridesmaids blue and grey. And Julia hand made all the adorable bouquets.

My Favorite.

Julia’s adorable parents and little sister.

A marachi band played during dinner and her grandparents danced away to La Bamba … I think.

My favorite kind of send off!  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Garza!!

So I was totally called out by one of my grooms.  At Julia and Lyle’s wedding last month I was informed I never blogged their engagement shoot. Totally my bad. I try so hard to stay on top of things but sometimes life and editing get in the way and I slip up.  So while I was preparing their wedding blog, which I’m sure they are way more excited to see, I decided to quickly blog a few of their engagements to keep my promise to Lyle!  So this one’s for you Mr. Garza!!  Their wedding is to follow!

So beautiful, Julia.

Julia fits so perfectly in Lyle’s arms – I imagine she always feels so safe.

I love this one. Lyle is so incredibly sweet with Julia and it shows.

and Lyle is so handsome.

When you get married I have learned you not only get a new husband but you get new family.  I’ve been blessed with an amazing family of my own but when I said “I Do” I was blessed with two more families. Over the Christmas break Bryan and I were lucky enough to spend a week with Bryan’s Dad and family in Albuquerque. During the week we were able to squeeze in a shoot of Evan, my new bro in law and who is a senior this year.  It’s always exciting to shoot in a new location, but shooting on top of a little mountain over looking the city with snow and breathtaking sun was great!  The sun is intense in New Mexico but has this softness about it, and combining with the reflection on the snow made for a great shooting experience!  So meet Evan -

I love this one..and no he’s not laughing at something I said – I’m sure it was his brother Joey – he’s the funny one.

Cactus and the southwest landscape is some of my favorite ever.

Joey, my other new bro in law, came along for a little moral support and entertainment and I wanted to get a few shots of him!

It went a little something like this:

Me: Hey Bryan I want to have a fun Christmas Party!

Bryan: this year?

Me: Yesss Honey, this year.  and I want to have a photo booth. and a fire. and make fun food. and get the house ready.

Bryan: How much is all that gonna cost?

He’s a good husband.  There were about 10 house fixers on our to-do list that he completed. He got the fire place working. He went to the grocery store. He cook some, most OK ALL of the food. All while I was doing this….

….getting the photo booth ready!!

But he doesn’t fool me. He had just as much fun in that thing as we all did!

as did this girl! Stacy loves a good mustache! That prop was specifically for her!

The eyebrow pose. We see it at every occasion!

mustache kissing!

Stacy and Kristine. I’m just loving the big ole bow! It was my fav!

Jason and Bill!

It’s nice to have someone around to fix your bow tie.

Kendra…striking a pose. or caught off guard. who can tell? She looks good either way!

Lara looks pretty good in the bow as well!

Jae – her words: I don’t know what to do!

Girls!  Note to self: Next time make the backdrop wider!

Oh Sarah….

Kristine and Sean being adorable! Such a photogenic couple!

Jeremy and Kayla being very festive!

I don’t know why but the mustache made me want to salute every time I put it on!

OH yeah. Stacy and Bryan are the biggest thugs ever.

Love these mustache twins!

I think Jen look cutest in the bow!

Oh no and THEN Bryan busted out his dance moves.

I think they were supposed to be feeling the music.

I turn around and this is happening. Josh lost his shirt. That was the best part of having a remote… I didn’t have to take the pics all night.

me and Jae! Jae left the babies and husband at home!!

surprise!

and then everyone went home and Stacy was sleepy!  It was a gooood photo booth kinda night!!  I think it’s gonna be a yearly party!!

They never stopped smiling. Ever. Brett and Tamara’s wedding day was full of lots of laughter and love, sunshine and perfect weather.  Knowing Brett for a very long time, I loved seeing him with his new wife and new adorable little girl.

Another wonderful bridal session shot at The Prairie by Rachel Ashwell! If you’re ever in Round Top – The Prairie is a must see!!  Danielle glowed during her bridals so happy to be wearing a gown that would soon be worn on her wedding day. I was sad I wasn’t able to photograph her wedding but was thrilled to get the chance to take her bridals!

We all know the feeling of your first love. Those fleeting moments together, locking eyes in the hallway, a lunch date. We all have high hopes, hoping that feeling will never end. But almost all first loves come to an end, becoming a part of your past.  That was Kelly and Wade 8 years ago and it is still Kelly and Wade today. Walking hand in hand to football games, making plans for Friday night, parking lot talks and new beginnings. The fleeting glances into the eyes of a new love are now the same eyes they will look into when they become man and wife. I love High School sweetheart stories. My Mom and Dad are one – together since my Mom was 14. It seems almost impossible that when you’re only 16 you could meet the person you’d spend your life with. Almost cliche in a way. How could you know? Well I have a feeling Kelly and Wade knew just that all those years ago. They are the type of couple that seem at ease around one another. Truly make one another happy. And 8 years later, in a clearing on a bluff, on a hand made bench, Wade proposed to his high school sweetheart. And of course, she said yes.

We were lucky to have some amazing light during their session!

I love my family. I love to watch them grow. I love that they are growing by way of a baby girl!  Can’t wait to meet baby Reese!  These are my favorite family pictures I’ve shot of my cousins!  Soon their little family will be complete!  I love you guys!!  :)

Logan is so sweet when he talks about his new little sister. He’ll be a great big brother.

As long as he doesn’t tackle her like he did his pregnant Momma!

I would like to say that Logan shot the picture of his Mom and Dad on the right — do I see a future?? :)

Kurt’s little buddy.

such a sweetheart!

These are two of my favorites. flowers for his momma.

I love these. Logan really outdid himself!

and a few of the glowing Momma to be.

pregnancy suits Rebecca well.
