Rachel and Marquis: La Grange Wedding

The week leading up to Marquis and Rachel’s wedding I was worried. I knew it was meant to be held outside, under the beautiful oak with the sunlight lighting their love. When I arrived on their wedding day, I was greeted by a new plan, told to me by a very smiley and happy bride. She couldn’t care less about the rain. Rachel was marrying the man of her dreams, her soul mate and father of her child.

We started the day at the hotel getting ready.

You know when your bride works for a most amazing florist, her bouquet is going to be beautiful!

I loved watching Rachel dressing her daughter.

Marquis and his brothers.

And his entire wedding party. All his siblings.

Once again, amazing bouquets made by Melanie with Last Petal.

Between the winter colors and the furs, I was in love with Rachel and her bridesmaids wedding attire.

Rachel was such a good sport. Her ceremony was planned for outside under a big Oak tree, but when the rain and dark weather stayed around all week prior, she made the decision to move the ceremony inside.

The beautiful windows still made this ceremony spot a good one.

Their officiant, Logan, also Marquis’ nephew, did such a great job marrying the two.

With the dark clouds and threatening rain, we only had about 15 minutes after the ceremony for pictures — so we worked fast and they smiled beautifully!

And wouldn’t you know, the last few minutes of light, a sliver of clouds parted and we were greeted with a glorious stunning sunset.

Ok so let me tell you about this cake. Made by Melissa with Best Little Cake Shop in Texas – she hand made every one of those little mushrooms. While I thought they were real, they were made from meringue and DELICIOUS!

The infusion of moss, trees, flowers and gold were perfectly brought together in the decor of their reception.

What a beautiful winter evening!
